Hello Andy, Been a long time. Nice to see you stuck with it and made 06, awesome!
One suggestion I would give is try and get on the freight hauling contract for sensitive government loads. I’m not sure of the process, but I will ask my freight manager and see if I can find some details for you.
Best of luck and welcome home!

Hi Andrew,
My daughter and son-in-law are in the trucking business. If you still need help let me know and I'll ask them to talk with you. I know they would be willing to give you some advice and or answer questions.
What kind of mentoring do you need? I am a professional CFO and mentor lots of Small Businesses, mostly veteran owned. How can I help?

Hello Andrew,
I am a manager at UPS, my last assignment was training new cdl drivers, let me know if you have any questions or just want to bounce an idea off me. Best of Luck!
I have my Class A and I live in WV if you get established.
Get yourself some good Legal advice ASAP, particularly if you want to go interstate. Contact your local Bar Association for their recommendations as to an Attorney experienced in that business area. In fact some Lawyers might even help PRO BONO if you ask.

For mentorship, please contact either SCORE (part of the SBA) or the SBDC (small business development center) in your state. As a member of SCORE, I did assist several veterans in startup trucking companies, perhaps we should talk. Also, Mike Zacchea runs the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Disabled Veterans at UCONN -he may have some insight. Contact me for his reach info. Best of luck, enjoy the ride.
Colonel Andrew Danwin,
First of all and most importantly, thank you for your service to our country.
As for establishing a logistics, material handling and shipping company, I would reach out to Amazon Corporate in Seattle. I know that their logistics and shipping department is always looking for new vendors to get their products to market for their vendors and you might be able to establish a long term shipping contract and especially because you will be a veteran owned company.
I wish you much success in building your company.
Regards,
David Eastman, US Navy Retired, Anti-Submarine Warfare.
