About David
I have been working in both the semiconductor industry and the life science industry for the past 35 years as a consultant and an employee focused on developing and launching new products and start-up ventures in biotechnology, medical devices, systems and software. I am currently the CEO of Gamma Therapeutics, a biotech developing solutions for cardiovascular disease, surgical therapy and combat casualty care employing the natural clotting proteins in the human body. Formerly I was the interim CEO of Yecuris, which developed humanized mouse models for drug toxicology research. I sit on many entrepreneurship boards and mentor, guide young entrepreneurs in starting up their companies. I am on Board of Directors of two seed companies, MagnetoOrganics and NeuraMedica. I have worked as a senior product marketing executive at three leading pharmaceutical companies and consulted in the launch of 26 Oregon life science venture start-ups. I actively work with life science community, including scientists, physicians, nurses, technicians and I mentor students at the Oregon Health & Science Univ, Portland State Univ, Univ. of Portland, Oregon State Univ. and the Univ. of Oregon. I am an active in the Oregon venture community through the Oregon Bioscience Association and the Oregon Entrepreneur Network. I hold a BS in Marketing from the University of No. Colorado, an MS in Marketing, Business & Design from the University of Oregon, and an Executive Medical Product Marketing MBA Certificate from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
