I started a business in August 2014, I just retired from the Army in January 2015. I was funded by several investors, but I haven't sold a single product and the seed money is gone. What should I do next?

Spent close to 10k on equipment and materials, we use eBay, Facebook, Twitter, Opensky, Shopify, & ETSY but we haven't sold a single product. I have more capital to use of my own. I need to make the right moves next or the company and the product will both cease to exist. I will reveal the company and product if need be to the appropriate help.

Hello, I've failed 3 x in starting a business. Failures are good, you'll learn more. Failed rely and fail fast... That being said the only way to truly fail is to quit. I am not an amazing business guru, but I wanted to throw you some words of support and tell you to hang in there and keep getting back in the fight. Mach "no" brings you one closer to a "yes". I've been there, it sucks but once the money starts coming all of the previous ass pain you will not remember.

I am working with Constant Contact marketing and have reactivated eBay, ETSY, and Amazon accounts. We are currently producing a YouTube channel to spread awareness for the product and also shopping to get the website beltforce.com up and running. Thanks to everyone for your advise and feedback I appreciate it and my family appreciates it even more.

Seems to me, without knowing anything about the product, that you have a problem if you haven't sold anything. Get some very candid feedback from people you don't really know that well about the produce. Friends will tell you what you want to hear and you don't need that. My gut tells me you should pull the plug and move on. Come clean with your investors and let the chips fall as they may. Do NOT tell your investors there are no problems or try to hide the facts. Come clean and face the music. Also don't be discouraged by a single failure. Most people try several times before they succeed.

Hello Robert, one place you can check is your local Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Recently some of them across the nation have started offering workshops on Business Continuation & some start up strategies .

I do not know what you sell or how. Is it a store front or online. Do you have a website? What marketing techniques have you tried? If you can share more details I may be able to point you in a more precise direction.

Hi Robert-
Have you tried crowdfunding or Angel investing yet? In most cases, you would have to disclose a minimum amount of information about both the business model as well as your product/service that you are selling. If it is a product, do you have a patent to protect the design or intellectual property?
