I'm requesting assistance from the following:
1. IT professionals, especially those who have worked in infrastructure and cloud. More on cloud infrastructure and not on applications like Salesforce, ServiceNow, etc.
2. Project managers and program managers.
3. Those who have worked as Federal contractors and are now working in the non-Federal sector. I want to know how you made the transition to the non-Federal, and non-DC, areas.
4. Those that are working in or who have worked in North Carolina. I'm considering a move down there in about five years' time.
5. Those that have worked for major telecommunications firms, like AT & T, Comcast, etc. This is where I'm currently working and I'd like some pointers.
Please message me privately and I can send along my lengthy resume for us to work with. I'm trying to translate as much of that as possible into my LinkedIn.

Hi Tim,
Many thanks for your service!
LinkedIn has become the "go to" place for potential employers and professional networking.
It's a 'work in progress' piece. If you are looking for a job, it's best to state what your goals and objectives are and be clear that you are looking for employment.
Once you have the job, you need to change those goals and make a positive statement about where you are and what you plan to accomplish in the job. You don't want to be employed and make it look like you are 'still looking' for a new job.
It's a public site for your manager and contacts to see, so whatever you do with it, keep it current! Hope this helps.
Best of luck!

Hi Tim,
Happy to help -- I received training and reviewed LinkedIn profile while working as a career mentor in business school.
Please feel free to email me at kmtama@gmail.com whenever helpful.
Best,
Katie
Happy to help if you'd like to send me your resume. I've been a Cloud PM for several years, with Salesforce and Google Apps.
Tim, here is what I see from your public profile (what potential hiring managers will see). Your head shot is great: crisp, clean, professional. Your headline tells me where you are working ... It gives me no clue what you are wanting out of life. The background graphic is an opportunity for you to showcase more about yourself in a graphical way; consider using it. You have no details in your position listing ... I would scroll on by you, since i have no indication what you accomplished in those roles. Opera?? Doesn't make sense in work experience, since you want to be IT. You need more endorsements and recommendations (ask people you trust to write some for you ... Most will). Move accomplishments section higher up, as it shows that you have earned awards. Happy to re-review if you make changes. PM if you have more questions.
Tim - Glad to help...I think I fit all 5 of your KPIs! Let's connect.
