When I was getting ready to leave the military in 1999, Orion literally had fliers in everyone's mailbox. I took their workshop and thought it was good... they taught me how to write a resume. I just wanted to know what the current thoughts in the military are about these guys.

I've had nothing but good experiences with Orion, and even if I choose not to utilize their services, their website has been a very good source of information. I will say that I did get the 'cold shoulder' one firm which was more interested in pedigree than experience and another firm which outright told me that I didn't qualify for their officer placement programs because I wasn't really an officer (funny; my Commission was signed by the Commander in Chief). Anyhow, I can only speak from personal experience, and that has been very positive with Orion thus far.
The only reason I wouldn't utilize Orion at this point is because they generally want you to wait to attend a hiring conference until you are within the 30-45 day window for starting your new job. If I find something before that time, I'll obviously wave off their services. On a very positive note, the prospect of having several guaranteed interviews over the period of a couple days with the companies they host is one which should not be overlooked.
