Michael,
Your LinkedIn profile is sending the wrong message. First your picture needs to be you in professional attire. Secondly come up with a TAG line about your career and a brief value statement about your value. You already follow Michael Quinn, sign up for some of his networking on line events. Conduct some Informational Interviews-learn about your career with other IT folks. Remember that you are part of the 0.5% of Americans who serve their country. You are very well respected, but the chance civilians have been part of the 0.5% simply means they will not understand your language or experiences-without translation. Thank you for your support and sacrifices. God Bless https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/come-prepared-transition-process-gap-between-civilian-jerry-welsh/

Hi there. There is a national organization called Team RWB that you should check out if it is in your area. There are fortune 500 companies that sponsor/work with them and it is a great place to meet other veterans in your area.
