I am a special education teacher in New York City. I would like advice from some corporate world contacts regarding organizing a dating event in New York for people with;
-- intellectual disabilities
-- autism spectrum
-- cognitive disorders
conditions that make it nearly impossible to find love.
The event would have to be very structured and requires a lot of skill on the part of the organizers. Whomever would help us must understand it will be a labor of love. The amount of personal attention this population requires, it will likely not be particularly profitable.
My colleagues and I have access to organizations that serve this population as well as certified teachers to chaperone such an event.
What I really need help with is a corporate sponsor who could help get the word out and help us arrange a venue.
I'm not looking to start a business, I just need some contacts around NYC who may be able to help out.
Thanx!
Sam
