Using "How to Write a Killer LinkedIn Profile" as my guide, I've asked for more recommendations and added substance to my profile. Would anyone be willing to take a peek and give initial impressions?

CJ,
Thanks for the feedback. I've made the changes you recommended.

William
Overall, it's good. You've have:
- nice, quantifiable accomplishments
- your interests and volunteer experience round you out as a "whole person"
- getting your degree on the side shows that you can balance your time and resources
I'd suggest adding your TS/SCI right up front, under your name (maybe replacing Work Force development) because it's an attribute that is in high demand.

Mike,
Thanks for the feedback and support.

Willam,
It looks like you put in some time on this and it shows.
1. I would suggest reviewing the Summary and look at re-wording it to be a more "civilian speak" unless you are going for a federal job. Some of the buzz words like "L.D," and "pointy end of the spear,"and "zero-failure" may be a little much.
2. The experience looks great but I would agree with Brenda to thin out a bit.
Good Luck!

Mike
John,
Thank you for the recommendation...downloaded from Amazon today.
Brenda,
I really enjoyed your book and I appreciate the recommendations on my profile. I would agree that thinning out is in order.
Time to get cracking!

William
Hi William, it looks like reading through my book http://theessayexpert.com/services-rates/linkedin-profiles/how-to-write-a-killer-linkedin-profile/ gave you some great advice on your profile because it looks great! The only thing I might suggest is thinning out all the many bullets in your experience section. There are a lot of them and you might experience the law of diminishing returns. Also I would recommend a resume review from a resume writer who specializes in military transition and/or federal resumes. I can recommend a few people if you'd like!
William,
I highly recommend getting the book How to Find a Job on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Google+ by Brad and Debra Schep. This is a great guide on how to leverage social media for professional purposes. On your profile page you'll see on the right a "profile strength" indicator. That's the first indication how much improvement you need on your profile.
Hope this helps - John
It is my honor to serve and I thank you for your advice.
I thought your profile was well done. I found that following companies that you are interested in as well as groups, can open up opportunities to network as well as current job listings. I wish you well and thank you for your service.
Thank you Mr. Boutcher. I appreciate the feedback.
Just a quick comment ... you have a great profile started on LinkedIn. As you continue to make connections and have endorsements added, it should continue to gain interest from perspective employers. Nice job on planning ahead ... Well done, Marine!
Tom:
Thanks, and I will share this with my network.

William
William,
This notice was posted to the LinkedIn group "Veterans Mentor Network" . It looks like they want Veterans that are interested in a free LinkedIn profle review to reply on their board.
"Free LinkedIn profile review from Vets For fellow Vets on July 19th! Add a "I am In" comment below [on the LinkedIn board, not here on ACP AdviorNet] - read the details to get even more out of your session!"
"On July 19th a group of veterans who work at LinkedIn will be helping other veterans create the best LinkedIn profile possible..."
