My business was created over 10 years ago and after incorporating in 2016 I was asked by a client if my business was certified as veteran-owned and to be honest I have attempted to do the online registration with the VA and the handful of related sites that were prerequisites to get registered. The last time I attempted the registration was when the government was shut down and have not seen any confirmation that the application was processed.
I would like to get my business registered because of the school districts and city councils' request for proposal advises that we must submit the veteran or minority-owned business certification.
Please feel free to contribute with any process or contact information that may get me to the right person or agency best suited to help me complete the registration.
Thank you in advance,
Frank Lopez

Good morning, Francisco.
Go to the SBA Office in person. The analysts there should be able to get you going quickly. Another option is to go on line to Score.org and click on Find a Mentor. You enter your zip code and the system will bring up a registration screen that will link you to local Score mentors. You can choose your mentor by reviewing his/her background and skills areas.
