My name is Anthony M. Grimaldi of JourneyManDesigns: Illustrator & Graphic Designer from New York City. Due to modern technology and global markets, it is now possible for me to submit finished projects to clients through email and cloud based file transfer services, easily allowing me to work remotely for any client in the world. I have attempted to take full and total advantage of this remarkable opportunity and have done so with some success. I wish to continue to do so and am seeking newly effective and productive methods, ways and means to further accomplish my goal of working and succeeding on a global platform.

Anthony, Have you gone on sites such as upwork.com, fiverr.com, freelancer.com and others where you can register and accept work across the globe? We have used many of those at my current organization and vary successfully. I went to your site, great work! I would recommend breaking it up into B to C and B to B as it appears to be highly B to C graphics which may not get you the much bigger and higher paying B to B business. Best of luck, Bruce
Hi Anthony,
Great advice from others, so I'll focus on a different perspective.
I agree global markets are more accessible than even, but playing devil's advocate, there are a couple good reasons to focus on local work. 1) There likely is more than enough good work in the local NYC area [my wife is from the area], and it is easier to differentiate yourself when you can meet clients in person. 2) The NYC has a high cost of living and the incomes are scaled to match. Most other locations you do work for will have a lower cost of living and may therefore pay less. I've always focused on the opposite. For example incurring a cost of living of Utah while being paid bay area wages. I have a lot of ex-pat friends being paid by western companies (USA/Europe) while living in southern China.
Best of luck with this new venture!

Anthony :
I see ACP referred you to an experienced designer who I’m sure will provide you with some excellent guidance . I viewed your portfolio and I just wanted to add you’re one hell of a talented artist.
I also wanted to make a suggestion with respect to your website . You may want to consider mentioning the variety of clients you have serviced and the types of work you have done for said clients . Ideally , with client permission, it would be helpful to cite them by name .
I’m thinking of something that clearly captures the wide scope of your business reach. I understand the pictures speak for themselves but an upfront summary may be helpful .
Also , I think client testimonials, assuming you can get them , would help in promoting your business .
Good luck
John
