Hi, Gordon! My name is Alex Jones and I live in the Charlotte, NC, area. I've heard great things about Deloitte, but I've also heard they typically like folks with Ivy-league educations. Is there any merit to that? What are the odds of a Marine Corps veteran with a public school MBA getting work at Deloitte?
Thanks in advance, Gordon.

Answers
Hi Alex, first and foremost, thank you for your service! I am also a veteran who joined Deloitte with a degree from a public university, so am living proof that Deloitte hires many with public university degrees. In fact, I am personally involved with Deloitte's specific recruiting from a public university here in Virginia and my alma mater is in Connecticut, and have helped with recruiting interns from a public university in Maryland, so know first hand that we recruit and hire individuals from public universities. Finally, I also interview a large number of candidates every year who have degrees from public universities, so hopefully I've convinced you that a public university degree isn't a barrier to employment with Deloitte.
A great first step for you is to review the positions we currently have open on our website (www.deloitte.com then select "Careers" followed by "Experienced Professional Jobs" under "Job Search"; you will be able to search for open positions and make a note of those. We can then put you in touch with the recruiters and teams responsible for filling those positions for follow on screening and interviews.
Hope this is helpful, please don't hesitate to ask any additional questions that you may have.
Cheers,
Gordon
