Is there an Operations Manager in the Birmingham, AL area that would be willing to discuss their daily activities?

Veteran

Bradley Middleton Birmingham , AL

I've just begun my transitional steps from the military and will be retiring early next year. I'm also a few semesters away from finishing my MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler. As I've progressed through the program I've narrowed my two choices to Operations or Finance. However, I believe that Operations may be more of a fit with my military background.

Bradley,
You may wish to look into Informational Interviewing. There are some good templates one line for requesting career advice, with an initial opening of transitioning service member seeking some career help or advice. You also want to keep time frame down to 15 minutes or so, time is huge in business today. If they go over, your gain, many are fearful of long drawn out questionnaire. Key will be to stay away from seeking job or those types of question. You are sincerely seeking information, not the job yet. Thanks for your service and God Bless.

Hi Bradley!

First, thank you for your service and for utilizing ACP AdvisorNet! Have you taken a look in the Community tab here? There, you can search by zip code and industry and identify advisors that you can message directly.

From my initial search, it looks like there are quite a few. You can narrow down by years of experience as well. Feel free to message as many as you like. I hope this helps! Please feel free to message me if you have any questions.

Best,
Megan
