I have some wonderful film projects that I have been working on, and need advice getting them produced. The opportunity to Pitch these projects to producers, and writers would be ideal.
Thank you!

Hi Brian, I have been production counsel on over a dozen independent films produced in Chicago and LA over the last 15 years. The first thing to do is get your legal "house" in order. Make sure you own everything you need to own in terms of the script, "bible," Treatment, Pilot (if applicable) and any additional works. While many people recommend registering with the writers guild, THIS CONFERS NO LEGAL RIGHTS. Registration must be sought though the Copyright office to perfect those rights.
Check out stage32.com as a great film and TV industry community platform. You will get a lot of good business advice there.
Network like crazy with film and television professionals. There are many avenues to commercializing a story, many types of production companies, and many development methods.
I hope this helps. Feel free to reach out directly.
Hi, Brian.
LinkedIn.com has a group called, Film & TV Tech Professionals. There may be more film-related groups there, too.
Sometimes I have seen openness to look at scripts. Joining is free (you don't need to pay for the higher level of LinkedIn service).
May things work out for you.

Hi Brian! I would research inktip.com, which is a script listing service. You list your logline and synopsis. And their network of producers are able to see them and request more information, if they're interested. I would also submit your work to the major screenplay competitions via https://filmfreeway.com/ and apply to the major workshops, including the Sundance Institute and Tribeca Institute: https://www.sundance.org/create/overview & https://tribecafilminstitute.org/programs/scripted. In addition, I would join respected independent film organizations, like Independent Film Project based in New York or Film Independent based in Los Angeles: http://www.ifp.org/ & https://www.filmindependent.org/programs/. All of these programs will help you get connected and hopefully gain exposure for your work. I wish you much luck with all of your projects!
Hi Brian.
I have a "son-in-law in the movie biz in L.A.
He offered the following:
"Does he want to send along his video work and/or any of his proposed projects (even if it's just rough)? That might help me advise more specifically..."
Let me know if interested!
Best,
Martin
Brian,
Possibly networking with local theater groups may help. I am sure these groups have contacts with writers and producers.
Hope this helps.
Best of luck

Both Amazon and Netflix accept unsolicited scripts for consideration of production. You need to make sure your scripts are well done and exceptional. Just don't send any kind of junk into them.
For both submissions, you need to have produced a "concept" video of about 15 minutes that details the storyline. The scripts need to be formatted in accordance with industry standards, means double-spaced 2.5 inches indented Courier font. 160 pages or about.
Hey Brian. I realize this is an old thread. If you're still hunting, shoot me a private message and we can chat about what you might have in the works.
