Try advertising on Craigslist. Select one or more towns in NC, "business for sale by owner" and explain what you are looking for.
I would go to www.angellist.com. This website lists everything to do with starting a business to include potential founders.
Do you have any solar tech schools or universities even near you? That might be a good resource. Thank you for your service! I am looking to get into Solar Technology myself .
