Hey Patricia,

Thank you so much for reaching out. That's what I'm looking for right now. I'm looking to work at a University as a staff member. Anything to get my foot in the door and start a long career. I'm looking for some adjacent professor work after my degrees are done. Right now I'm just looking to join a team doing administrative work. Thanks again, Mike P.

What type of job are you looking for? I have a friend who works for a big university in the Dallas area but she is in administration. She just finished her Masters but has been working there for about 15 years.

As stated in another response, a PhD is preferred, however, I would start with the Dallas Community College District. There are jobs available but they will change every semester based on registration. A friend of mine worked as a professor for several years and had success. She later left to teach full time abroad. The other alternative is to seek out one of the online colleges like Phoenix. Again, each semester will depend on whether the class "makes" but if you do both, you should have a reasonable chance at a full time salary. There are several colleges/universities in Dallas/Ft. Worth. Reach out to them all and see what happens. Good luck and thanks for your service.

I don't think Western Governor University is the way to go. I applied for multiple times, and I have never heard anything back. I have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, a Master degree in Telecommunications, a Master Degree in Information Security, and currently a Ph.D candidate. I also have 13 years experiences in Information Technology.

If you have a Master degree, the best way to contact with Tarrant County Community College.

Southern Methodist University, Texas Christian University, University of Dallas, University of North Texas, University of Texas at Dallas, Texas Weslyan University, and University of Texas at Arlington might require you to have Ph.D or equivalence.

Mike,
Western Governors University has a great program that may be a fit for you but you must have your PhD or Masters degree. I recently joined the faculty and love the mission and focus of WGU. Shoot me an email at raellis7@yahoo.com if you want to discuss more.

Rob Ellis

I have connections in the DFW area both in Academics and business. Send me an email directly at tim@feemsters.com to start the process. For any long term job at the University level, you need a PhD so you might consider that option first. Send me a note and we can discuss.

Paige, thank you so much. I'm looking to work at any College University in the DFW area. Anything would be within 30-40 min from me. Again thank you, I would love to speak with anyone you could potentially get me in contact with.

Hi Michael - what level of education are you looking to move into (elementary, middle school, high school or college)? Also, what area(s) of the metroplex would you be willing to work in? I'm a recruiter in the insurance industry, but have contacts in other industries and would definitely love to put out some "feelers" for you.
