Thanks for your service, your resume does not get you the job, it gets you further consideration, as someone who reviews many resumes in making hiring decisions, I would suggest the following: 1. Your resume should never be longer than two pages. Use Large print and bold for the headings. 2. I recommend not including the references on the resume, but indicating that they are available and you can provide them on a separate sheet. 3. I also recommend using a good stock, non white paper, so that it doesn't get lost. 4. Use a font like Arial that scans easily. More and more employers are doing hiring electronically and information is being scanned, also, don't try and cram too much information on the resume so it does not scan well. 5. Your resume needs to tell a person, why should you consider me for an interview.
Finally, read up on interview skills--I have interviewed many people, whose resume's looked great, but were a complete disaster on interviewing.

I didn't notice any statement at the start of what you want to do - you might want to describe the type of company you want to work for and your objectives and goals. You can lead with something like: Executive Summary or "Seeking a position" etc.

I'm glad to see that several people (including people with more resume expertise than myself) have responded, so I'll just mention one thing: I would change the tense on my last job to indicate that it's what I'm currently doing (or just completed doing immediately before retirement). For example:

(No apostrophe in "statements" because it is just a plural-- more than one statement).
