Any mentors/advisors interested in helping with an MBA business viability project?

Veteran

Donald Allen Newport News , VA

For my MBA capstone project, I have to develop a product and build a business plan. My product is a touchscreen accessory made of silicone. I'm looking to exchange a few emails over the next year and get feedback on the feasibility of my ideas (as opposed to you coming up with the ideas). To bring the product to market, I think that I need the advice of someone in manufacturing (silicone injection, plastic mold...it's still in prototype at this point). Also packaging would be helpful, and anyone who has ever taken a product to market would be great. Thank you,

Hi Donald,

Thank you for your service!

I have helped many businesses develop business plans for various purposes, to start their business, raise capital, form joint ventures etc. I have also taught business planning at the MBA level. You can go to my website where I have a business plan tutorial, http://crumbandassociates.biz/write_your_own.htm This link will get you to the tutorial part of my website. You can then click on the topics to the left of the page.

If you are not an accountant the financial plan will be the hardest part for you to complete. If you want some help with that let me know.

Good Luck!

I have 20 years experience in business plans, marketing, customer segmentation, etc. If you want someone to take a look at your presentation, materials, segmentation, and provide input, I would be happy to provide you some feedback.

Hi Don,

I am a US Army veteran - welcome home. I agree with Richard, SCORE is a good bet - I am a SCORE mentor, teach business planning to veteran groups, started two of my own businesses - I can help with the plan. As far as manufacturing mentors, Richard is right - go to SCORE.ORG, click on "mentoring" then enter the skill set you are looking for - several names will pop up and you are on your way.

Donald,

Thank you for your service and congratulations on your initiative in terms of pursuing an MBA,

As a best option, I recommend contacting your local SCORE chapter. See following link for example:
http://www.virginiapeninsulachamber.com/pages/BusinessMentoring/

SCORE offers face to face counseling that specializes in business planning. I am involved with this type of counseling in the Philadelphia area . However, I also am available for email counseling and can be contacted on Tuesdays at http://www.score.org/mentors/richard-gauger.

As an alternative to face-to-face mentoring, you can email me at the above site if you think I can be of some help advising on your project.

Best Regards,

Rich Gauger
