Corporate Funding for Veteran Business Association

Veteran

Jonathan Williams Knoxville , TN

The Tennessee Veterans Business Association is a group of 130 mostly veteran owned companies that have come together for B2B networking, training, government advocacy, and veteran employment issues. We help each other grow our businesses, and work together to promote economic development. You can check us out at www.jointvba.org - and our on-line member directory at www.tnveteranbiz.com

My question is, we are a small non-profit and funding is an issue. How can we attract larger corporations to support our mission?

Since your a TN non-profit, I would suggest going to area companies with Diversity departments to float your need requests or ask for advertising commitments. Keep in mind that for grants you'll need a 501 c 3 designation from the IRS to qualify and/or get a fiscal agent who already does.
