I'm separating from the Navy soon after 4 years of service, and I'm interested in finding out what the hiring process is like, what a typical day is like in each aspect of being a TSA officer, and what the turnover ration is. I'm specifically interested in the Kansas City, MO area.
Also, I'm more than willing to share my résumé and accept some critiques and insight.

My wife has been working for the TSA for about a year and loves it. Prior to that, she was busy homeschooling our children. The hiring process took a long time (several months) with all the back ground checks. The application was a multi-step process. Every day is new and exciting for her. They rotate positions throughout the day. There is some turnover. Good Luck!
Jeffery, thank you for your service. I've advised on this website for more than a year and not seen a contributor from the TSA. So you should probably look for another source to answer your questions--perhaps visit your local airport and request an interview with a TSA manager. I will be happy to review your resume if that will help you; just email a copy to billnobles1@hotmail.com.
Best wishes, Bill Nobles
