The National Foundation for Veteran Redeployment is a small non-profit which may be able to help you in this area. (They haven't had much going on in the past few months, but its worth to check them out). Visit the website: http://www.nfvr.org/how-we-help
Trucking is one of their main industries in which they help Veterans.
Darrell,
Are you still looking for something?
Thanks

Darrell,
Do you have any plans for using your VA educational benefits? If not, I would strongly recommend using them to attain a degree (a useful one) or technical certification. As a fellow warrior and Texan, I can tell you our state has some very good colleges and universities. Do not forget about the Hazlewood Act (state veteran benefit) as well. I used my post-9/11 GI Bill and Hazlewood Act to get an engineering degree and I believe it was best decisions I've ever made. Military experience coupled with a useful degree/certification will make you extremely competitive in today's job market.
Darrell,
Humble is included in my "territory." I'm in a program within the Texas Workforce Commission made up of OIF/OEF veterans who assist other post 9/11 veterans in getting hired. I can assist you with finding that type of work near or in Humble. rachel.carrera@twc.state.tx.us
Hey Darrell,
While I do not have a lead for you as Loretta has suggested, but I did support a Wounded Warrior who was in the same position search and we learned the depending upon the industry,
you should expect to change the position descriptors in your resume. In a distribution business a fork lift operator may be a logistician. For example. Suggest you follow the company position description and change your resume accordingly. Good luck.
Would this be around humble Texas Houston Texas area
