I am an Electronics Technician (Radio) and I'll be transitioning out in a couple of years, so I still have some time to plan this out. I would like to transition into a different career, mostly financial services or consulting, but I'm also open to a career in project management. I am about to finish my Bachelors Degree in Philosophy and I am planning to pursue a Masters Degree. The thing is, I wouldn't want to just "waste" 5 years of military experience simply because I'll be moving to a different field. Is there a way I could use my experience as an Electronics Technician and combine it with my education in order to land a job in one of the fields described above?

Jesus,
If you're thinking about financial services or consulting, your hard skills as a radio tech will be irrelevant. Soft skills such as communication, work ethic, leadership and the ability to perform under pressure are extremely relevant.
I would strongly recommend checking out what career options are out there. One resource I found invaluable was downloading the free career primers at MBAmission.com to get a better idea of the competitive landscape, key benefits, pain points, salary, and hierarchy.
Once you identify which career option sounds best to you, you'll be able to identify target firms, figure out which schools they recruit from by checking their websites, and structuring your graduate degree accordingly.
Hi Jesus, I would be happy to discuss possible IT career paths with you. Please let me know

HI Jesus,
I would recommend going to our "Community" tab to and filter by "engineering" and "financial services" to see which advisors you can directly message. In addition, you can filter by zip code to find out which one are closest to you.
Best,
Charles
