I have had numerous jobs thus far in life all in different job fields combined with college, as well as my military experience. I feel as if my resume looks confusing as I bounced from job to job when I was in college and I never truly got "experience" in one particular, will this help or hinder me? I do truly appreciate any feedback.

I am retired after a 40 year career in industry where I hired over 100 people. Now I am helping veterans like yourself by helping with their resumes. If you would e-mail me your resume in Word to (drjamesfwatson@gmail.com) I would be happy to comment on it.

A direct answer to your question about bouncing around in different jobs is not easy. That is because your resume should be tailored to the specific job opportunity for which you are applying. Some of your job experiences will, undoubtedly, apply to the job you seek. Others may not. For those job experiences that do not directly apply, focus verbiage in your resume on the personality traits that you displayed in those jobs. Traits such as reliability, trustworthiness, leadership, ability to work well within a team, ability to think on your feet, flexibility to meet changing situations. Many hiring managers value these traits as much as technical skills and experience. Knowing that they are hiring a reliable smart, and trustworthy employee is invaluable to a manager.
Resume should be goal oriented with list of your accomplishments at the top. Most recruiter read first half of a page and move forward. You need to list of your accomplishments and how it helped the organization you were employed with. They do not want to know what your duties or tasks were. You can send your resume for a review and I can return it with red lined copy as to what I believe you should state. You also need to use words that are readable by resume scanners which determines status of your resume for further actions and review.
Resume should be structured as a "forward-looking" document. That is, you need to word it in such a way as to naturally lead its reader to the conclusion that your target job is a great fit for you.
What job would that be ?
Also, would be nice for you to include a link to your online version in your question above. Do you have a dedicated website ? Host one at linode.com for ten bucks a month. Use templatemonster for ideas. Get your domain from tigertech.net .
