I have applied to over 1800 positions on line. I have had no luck in getting a job thus far. Is there someone out there that can help me.
Answers
The sad truth is that applying on-line for positions is the least productive method of finding a job today. The quickest way to a job is through networking. The very first thing you need to do is build a network of friends and family to expand your reach. Each of them has friends who know other friends. Let them know that you are looking for a position and what your background is. Give them your resume. The best jobs are often not posted. The friend of a friend method is surprisingly effective. Building your network through sites such as LinkedIn can also multiply the number of people helping you find a job.
Now, what sort of job are you looking for and where?
What would be a good e-mail address to send it to?
Warren,
Job searching can be a frustrating process. The starting point is to ensure your resume is accurately portraying your skills and then getting it to the right person.
If you would like for me to review/critique your resume, I am happy to provide you any feedback that might assist you in your job search.

Thanks for the information, It has been very helpful.
Hi Warren,
It's tough to make through the online systems where literally thousands of people apply to the same positions. Your resume MUST be specifically tailored for the position you're applying to. Whatever key words are in the job description need to be on your resume. Secondly as John mentioned above, network. Network for information gathering purposes, i.e. "How should my resume by formatted?" Target a few companies then find folks on Linkedin who work there.
I applied to well over 200 positions when I was separating from the AF before I got an interview, the tipping point came from a Linkedin connection who helped me format my Resume for the job I currently have. Networking really works.
