Good afternoon, I am transitioning out of the Air Force after a 20 year career and am looking for someone to review my resume. My resume was written by a "professional" but something seems off to me. Since I am not an expert in resume writing, I am looking for someone to let me know if the resume is fine and I should leave it alone or if I am correct and I need to make some substantial changes.
Thank you for your assistance- this is a great community and I am very appreciative of everyone that has devoted their time to assist veterans.

Hello. My advice for you:
Unless you're told otherwise, never exceed 1-2 pages. The reader's life is just too short, and you'll sound cumbersome even if your lengthy material is relevant. At OneLeap, we limit people to 400 words - and they get much better replies as a result.
Brenda, I will review and comment on your resume, please send it to gregory.r.turk@boeing.com. As a manager I have reviewed hundreds of resumes. Some were quite good, many were poorly written which did not reflect well on the candidate. Since a resume is the first thing a prospective enployer will see, you want it to be well written. If your resume seems "off", it probably is. You need to be comfortable with it.
I am also a retired AF service member and congrats on the next chapter in your life. From my experiences with any resume is the job announcement or a clear understanding of what the company is looking for in an applicant. This is when you can effectively measure the written resume. General resumes will likely miss the target and leave you wondering if your resume is on target with a potential job or not. Feel free to send me an e-mail @ 2moffkj3@att.net if further discussions or if you have questions. Thanks and again, congrats...
Hi Brenda, Thank you for your service!
I am happy to help you with a review. I also suggest that you get set up on LinkedIn which is a primary tool used by businesses and recruiters. You can send me details at christine_pouliot@cargill.com

Hi Brenda - I'm happy to help...and thank you for your service! I give presentation on effective resume writing and how to have a great interview. Email one or more position descriptions you are seeking along with your resume to: cynthia.l.munnell@boeing.com. One recommendation for creating effective resumes that is a big change from the past, is that you don't want to have just one. You can start off with a 'base' one, however you'll need to tailor your resume for each job postion or application you are seeking. The reasoning, is that employers and recruiting companies use scanners to pick up key words, phrases, and skill sets....and you don't want yours kicked out right at the start.
Brenda, I'll also be happy to take a look at it and provide some feedback. I'll also share it with a few other folks I know who recruit military for a living. Please send me a copy at e235mail@yahoo.com and include any specific concerns you have.
Brenda, thank you for your service. I will be happy to review and comment on your resume if you will email a copy to billnobles1@hotmail.com. If the resume does not describe the type job and career you seek please discuss those issues in your email.
Best wishes, Bill Nobles
