Seeking employment in Atlanta, Georgia, do you have any leads at this time?

Tango Hill Lithonia , GA

I hold a Ph.D. in International Relations and I lived in Europe for several years teaching political science courses throughout Europe. I would love to work for a nonprofit organization - make a difference in the community.

Tango,
LinkedIn has a good jobs board that will enable you to find specific opportunities and/or non-profits that you can target...

Tango- In addition to John's reply, I would recommend identifying and reaching out directly to nonprofits in the area that interest you. You can use sites like 'Opportunity Knocks' or 'Jobs for Change' to identify nonprofits looking for qualified individuals. Additionally, in the Atlanta area (where I live as well), some of the nonprofits with a large footprint are: March of Dimes, Arthritis Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity. You can reach out to the Georgia Center for Nonprofits (gcn.org) for more info. Lastly, with your experience and background, the Carter Center may be a good avenue for information, and have a decided interest in your talents. Best of luck!

I don't know of specific opportunities for your specialty, but I'd offer that the best place to start would be with what companies/organizations you want to work for or are interested in knowing more about. That way you can ask for connections or leads that would better serve your career goals.
