I’m finding my skills in my resume from my military experience don’t exactly match then civilian equivalent. For example operations manager in the military is the civilian equivalent of supervisor (not a manager). Has anyone else dealt with this?

Tailoring you’re resume or application to the specific job or company is really important. And it takes practice. One idea is to try and network with someone already in that industry or someone already at that company and ask them to help you with your resume, to make it as closely matched to the job opportunity as possible. If you can find someone to help you do that it will greatly increase your chances of success.

Yes, I’ve scheduled a call for tomorrow!
Robby, This is a common problem and one for which a mentor is especially helpful. Have you applied for a mentor from ACP?
