After working 25+ years in the private sector, I would like to pursue opportunities with the VA but I find it difficult to use sites like USA Jobs and to know what some of the the requirements are for a particular job. For example, one of the jobs I was looking at was very interesting to me but one of the requirements was that you needed to include a SF-50 with the application. I don't have an SF-50 as I have not been employed with the Federal Government since leaving service in 1989. Do I really need an SF-50 to apply for this particular job? Looking for a resource that can help me navigate and answer questions I have about the process.

I suggest you go on LinkedIn and try to network with people already working there. Ask them for help, tips and suggestions on applying and maybe even ask if someone could submit you as a referral. Best of luck to you. Jeff
Justin,
Happy to help you. I'm a full-time professional resume writer and a former Fed specializing for the last 11 years in working with Active Duty and Reserve Service Members, Veterans, and Military Spouses transitioning to Federal or private sector work. I don't use templates and do all the work myself. You can best get in touch with me through my website contact page: https://lexlevinllc.com/contact/.
You don't need an SF-50 if you were never a Fed - just ignore that requirement.
