Trying to figure out a career path

Veteran

Jason Halper Tucson , AZ

My customers have made me incredibly successful in the sales portion of the pest-control industry, that being said my current company is very reluctant to let me promote or move up in the ranks. Every time I approach with a new idea or serve on advisory committee, the attitude presented is always how much more money I make in sales versus corporate. Unfortunately I am also 47 years old with constant ringing in my ears from too much artillery work, old injuries, and I’m on my feet outside all day long. I am really looking for a new career path where I can excel using my passion for being the best and making sure my customers are taken care of, especially my daughter.

I highly recommend the book What Color is your Parachute? It is a highly practical book on exploring how you are wired, what you are good at, and how to translate that into a career.
