I will be retiring in May and would like to find employment as a Corporate Trainer or Talent Acquisition in the south east valley of Phoenix. Any suggestions, contacts, or information that could be offered will be greatly appreciated!

Donald, keeping an open mind between a couple of careers is fine at the onset, but as you start the hard search you need to be more specific. Companies tend to do hard searches per career, but you are in at least the HR sector. Keep in mind if you are seeking talent acquisition and your profile pops up as a corporate trainer, you can see the disconnect. I agree with the ACP rep, start some informational interviewing, see what the real folks out there suggest. Be sure and read up on the rules for information interviewing, be sure and stick with informational gathering, seeking help or assistance as the lead(you are). Potentially the careers are close enough you could search, but get some advice from the civilian world-hit up recruiters/talent acquisition about how they would see the dual search. I am enclosing an article on your LinkedIn profile-note I lean more towards a focused career. Thanks for your service and God Bless. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/linkedin-profile-your-chance-discovered-transitioning-jerry-welsh/
