I’m retiring next summer after 27 years and looking to make an informed career transition by seeking out opportunities for informational interviews with companies and industries that interest me. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Col. Wallace,
27 years in the USMC!!! That is so impressive to anyone reading a resume. I can guess from your header that you are an avid golfer. Any golf pro with a decent shop would be able to make a connection with a senior level sales manager at one of those companies. Many private courses also have their head pro owning the shop. I recommend speaking to the pro and getting a lesson. With your history, I'm sure he would find a slot. Bring it up that you would like to work in a management and he should be able to set up an introduction.
Good luck and thank you for your service. Have a safe and enjoyable rest of the ride.
Best,
Rob

I’d encourage you to utilize our community feature to reach out to advisors who have experience starting their own small business. You can search for advisors by location, experience and expertise! I suggest you reach out to advisors with 20+ years of experience so they can provide you with more specific guidance and connections. Feel free to reach out to as many advisors as you would like!
Let me know if you’d like a detailed walk through of the website.
