I am looking to find a job in information security but do not know where to start without having any experience in this field.

Hi Christopher,
Do you have any IT experience at all? If not I suggest applying to jobs within IT in general as well. I did not start out in security I started out as a computer support specialist and with that experience I was able to get where I am now.
I would go to the website indeed.com and post your resume, research companies in that industry/field and try to connect with a person in HR to "pick" their brain in order to find out the best approach, attending career fairs are a way to find out who is hiring and the qualifications, search through LinkedIn for companies, openings, and networking opportunities in the "hidden" job market. You may even want to contact a job placement company like Kelly services and speak to someone there. It is all about getting started and making connections. Most people are more than willing to help out. You just need to reach out to them otherwise they don't know that you are around willing able and talented. Best of luck to you.
Hello Christopher,
Depending on who supplied your certification, perhaps that organization can help you network to its list of companies that do information security. While they may not provide the list to you, they may be willing to get your name, background, and resume out there.
Good luck,
Jeremy
