Dear Advisors,
Are you familiar with Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) conversion from Motor Transport Operator to Human Resources Specialist? I got 18 years in military services total. The main reason to do MOS change because I'm prior service Personal and Administration Clerk in Marine Corps about 10 years prior transfer to the Guard. My NCO disagree because I'm got better chance to get promote as 88M vice 42A. Should I take the risk or chance or not? Is it worth it to change soon or wait, Sir or Ma'am? or I can wait after the TPL or promotion list on Oct 2018 and leadership school seat BLC, then go from there. Your input and expertise will be appreciate!
Recently I got a scholarship for Certified Financial Counselor (CFP or ChFC). I believe MOS change can help me gain more knowledge, experiences and skills in insurance and financial services. Also, I need at about 3 out 5 years full time or 4,000-6,000 P/T experiences before I use the CFP or ChFC behind my name. Please advise and feedback! Very Respectfully, LLu
