Are there any companies out there that help retiring vets with resume writing?

Hi Marcus,

I'd also be willing to offer feedback. You can send what you have so far. If you are having trouble getting started I would try constructing an outline someplace like www.monster.com and then we can format it from there.

Best of luck!

Hello Marcus. I wanted to add a little bit to what has already been said. In today's environment the resume or CV is many times screened for keywords and if you pass that initial phase then you get to showcase your ... not skills, your ability to handle real life on the job situations. The interviewer will take your skills and 20 years in the Army at face value, he is sure you have the skills he/she only need to verify that your emotional quotient is the right fit for their company. Most likely you would be at a management level so you want to ensure your ability to relate and tell stories about your army experience and how you handled them are locked and loaded. Keep your resume simple. As mentioned in previous posts, you can find details all over the internet for free.

I wouldn't spend any money on it, there's a ton avail on Internet, keep it to 1 page, and don't tell everything, it is used/meant to be a list of "topics" that the reader can use to start a conversation and follow-up with you for details...make it interesting and leave some good stuff for the chat, tell a story when asked, good luck.
