Very interested in how a military professional with extensive experience leading organizations and accomplishing national security missions could offer value to Deloitte's management consulting business
Answers
Hi Chris. Deloitte is committed to assisting the US Department of Defense and the Intel Agencies. We actively recruit and employ former military professionals throughout our organization to enhance our solutions and provide critical perspective to our DOD/National Security clients. The specific value you could provide to our organization likely depends on the specific skill set and experience you have and will bring to our organization. If you are willing to share more specific information related to your skill set and interests, I'm happy to elaborate further.
Christopher, First, thank you for your service and congratulations for a great career. While I do not work for Deloitte, I am familiar with at least one sector that they work ... the area of Performance Based Contracting and Sustainment. They are the experts and have done extensive work for DoD (LM&R). The key is the match of your skill sets to the needs that Deloitte is contracted to work. Are you looking for other opportunities in the Aerospace and Defense sector, or just consulting opportunities? Best regards, Wally Massenburg
Colonel,
First of all thanks for your service and congratulations on an exceptional career. Typically, for senior level positions it is important for you to have a contact that will introduce your resume to recruiters and executives within the firm. Use your network to make connections at consulting firms and have conversations about your specific experience, eventually you will find a company where your capabilities would be highly desirable.
Also, many firms have specific points-of-contact for Veterans, these contacts are usually found on companies’ career pages via www, Facebook or linkedin. If you have a linkedin account, one way to increase your network reach is to use your first tier network to find second level contacts at companies you are interested in and ask them to make an intro. Good luck as you begin your transition into civilian life.
