"senior" returning veterans

Advisor

Robert Brien, J.D. Ledyard , CT

While I can provide excellent advice for returning veterans (particularly about starting a new business), I am also a disabled veteran in search of work in the management side of land use, and law/financials related to land use. Seems many job sites favor "younger" returning veterans--great for them, and appreciated--but what about the older disabled veterans still able to work as possible executives?? Thanks! appreciate any advice...

Hello Robert,
Have you thought of joining up with SCORE? www.score.org
I am presently mentoring a gentleman from Naples FL presently involved in Real Estate investing. Another interested in commodity trading wanting to get into fuel distribution to government contracts. Our chapter has a new initiative to assist Iraq and Afghanistan Vets who wish to go into business. We also have some direct funding for grants through a non-SCORE foundation in partnership with the Palm Beach FL Chapter. We have upcoming Entrepreneurial Fair in conjunction with Mac Dill AFB in September. www.scorepinellas.org
