I currently drive tanker trucks in the gas industry here in the northeast. I am currently seeking better employment to support a family of six. Is there any groups that help vets find better more stable employment?

Hi Kaleb,
I have attached a link to a website that helps vets with their job search. I am a career consultant working with several organizations assisting veterans with their job search. If you need assistance with resume development etc. I would be glad to assist.

Have you joined ACP? They will assign you a Mentor who can help with job seeking advice and direction. There are many organizations, like my company, who seek out Veterans. Most job applications ask if you are a Veteran...make sure you check that box!
Good Luck and thanks for your service.
i'd start with your core competencies and see what indeed.com has to offer - think along the lines of regional mgmt or working for a corporation that is interested in skills built on the road, and that would translate to an office gig (assuming that's what your looking for - closer to home/kids, less windshield time). Maybe something along the lines of project management, terminal manager, or even sales...
reinvention is tougher. plenty of schools out there...but starting from scratch w/ a big family is no easy task. Not impossible - but the support structure needs to be there (financially/family/etc) if it's going to be done right.
I have been driving commercially for over 2 years on local routes. Operating water truck and flat bed with a boom.
3 years armed security.
I worked in banks, casinos, hotels, IT storage facilities, and high end jewelry stores.
can you expand more on your experience? are you looking to make a move to a specific field?
