Hello Justin --
While I've done volunteer security work (religious institution), I'm no where near your level of expertise. However, I am concerned you haven't received answers yet and had some thoughts about this . . .
Every major market/city today has companies/charities/churches/synagogues, or even politicians/celebrities/government locations who require various levels of permanent or temporary security. Some hire their own; others use independent security companies.
We hired the latter in our Boston suburban market: our vendor specialized in religious institutions, and also handled many politicians and visiting diplomats. EVERY one of their hires is a relatively recent combat vet, even some active between deployments.
So, I googled "security jobs for vets ft worth tx" and I see there appear to be plenty of places to start. You've probably done this; if not, please try it and begin to explore what might be available.
I would hope a market as large as the DFW/FTW metroplex would have these opportunities for you.
And, to say the least, we appreciate your contribution to the safety, peace, and security of our lives in the USA!
