Looking for guidance on resume/cover letter/LinkedIn

Veteran

Keith Kimm Saint Louis , MO

12+ year Command Pilot separated in 1997, during force restructuring. Spent time in Graduate school before being recruited back as contract Instructor Pilot. Self-employed since 2007, but local social events have significantly impacted business.

I am having no luck in trying to re-enter work force - due to dated background and its impact on ability to network. Looking for guidance on resume/cover letter/LinkedIn. No experience with social media/networking.

Wish this site had existed in 2007 !

Hi, Keith. I am Wholesale Credit Manager for Sunoco here in Philadelphia, have been here 27 years and see a lot of resumes from college students who are applying to us for a Financial Associate position. I'd be more than happy to review your resume and offer some suggestions on where to list which information, and what to emphasize and what to skip. You can send it to me at my e-mail address of mmkay@sunocoinc.com Thanks for your military service and good luck with your career....Morris

Hi Keith-

I am retired after a 40 year career in industry where I hired over 100 people. Now I am helping veterans like yourself by helping with their resumes. If you would e-mail me your resume (drjamesfwatson@gmail.com) I would be happy to comment on it. I also recommend the book "Tired of Eating Peanut and Butter Sandwiches? - Tips to Get a Job Fast" available on Amazon. It contains practical advice. Good luck in your search!!
