Looking for employment in or around Arlington, Texas

Veteran

Jonathon Perkins Arlington , TX

I retired October 31, 2014 and moved to Arlington, Texas for a facilities and equipment manager job but the company decided last week not to keep the position after 90 days that they created and I took. I am looking for heavy equipment operator or supervisor employment if anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. I have operated dozers, graders, vibration rollers, excavators, bobcats, scrapers, .... I don't have a CDL license and would prefer not to obtain one for hauling equipment around. I work hard at any job that I have been tasked with and to standard at a minimum. I am very easy to get along with and enjoy working with others in accomplishing project completions.

Thank you very much for your help Barron. Funny that the first to reach out and help me would be someone living in Indiana...I lived my whole non-military life in Evansville, Indiana :) I really appreciate the help and hope that it works.

Foremost, 'thank you' for your service.

Having lived in DFW, and potentially moving back - and in context of tonight's college bowl game IN Arlington - I'd reach out to JERRY JONES https://twitter.com/realjerryjones and tell your story. While worth $4.2B, he started life on the second floor of a nondescript Arkansas warehouse - so 'gets' the work ethic/commitment you describe. Worst outcome: no response; best outcome: one of his staff contact you. Perhaps present yourself as an 'able-bodied, hardworking professional with heavy machinery expertise seeking to make a difference in your new DFW home.' If not his immediate business enterprises, then perhaps with his business contacts.

Best wishes; hope it works out for you!
