Is anyone available to review my resume and provide me feedback?

Veteran

Carlos Roman Houston , TX

I am a recent graduate at the University of Houston with a bachelors in Supply Chain Management. I am actively seeking employment in my field. I have had only 2 interviews so far. I feel that maybe my resume is lacking terms or details.

Thank you,

Carlos Roman

Mr. Cal,
I am sorry for the delayed response. I will definitely report what I have learned and how I am progressing. I will be sure to contact ACP so I can be aligned with a Supply Management professional who can provide me insight and firsthand experience in my field.
Once again Mr. Cal Thank you for your help and insight!

Mr. Cal,

The ACIS formally now the (ISM) I attend quarterly meetings I have not yet offered to volunteer with them yet. Do you think that will help? With the CSCMP I am connected through LinkedIn because my ACP Mentor advise me to join them. They have yearly conventions and will be attending hopefully this August.
With these organizations I have not requested a formal or informal mentor. I maybe should do that. To advance my networking.
Are you also familiar with APICS? No Sir, I have not heard of this organization, but I will do my homework on them.
Have you researched the various mentoring programs CSCMP and APICS offer, and have you applied to any of the programs? I have not researched their mentoring programs as of yet, but I will research them as of today.

Thank you for your information,

C Roman

Hello Mr. Cal,
Great information you have provided. Thank you for your help. On my resume I did go to my school resume workshops as well as veteran resume workshops.

I have looked into certifications, I am currently working on my Six Sigma Certification. I also have joined organizations with my university and have joined various supply chain organizations. CSCMP, ACIS to name a few.

I was fortunate to pair up with a mentor one-on-one last year through ACP. He provided me with great information and insight in supply chain.

Once again thank you,

Carlos Roman

Carlos,
And also...

* Your college should be able to help you learn how to effectively write your resume. How are you actively utilizing your school's resources (e.g. career planning center, alumni network, local alumni clubs, mentoring opportunities and programs, professors, staff, etc.)?
http://www.uh.edu/CareerServices/

* Have you researched professional organizations and professional certifications relevant to your career goals? Professional organizations offer formal and informal mentoring programs, networking opportunities, and skills-development opportunities. Which professional organizations and certifications are relevant to your career goals?
e.g.

Over 7,000 supply chain jobs that mention "certification":

* VCTP Syracuse can help you earn some of the certifications mentioned in the job listings above. (e.g. Six Sigma) See this article and answer the questions posed.

* Have you researched professional organizations and professional certifications relevant to your career goals? Professional organizations offer formal and informal mentoring programs, networking opportunities, and skills-development opportunities. * Have you requested a "one-on-one" assigned mentor from American Corporate Partners (ACP, acp-usa.org)? Have you been matched with an ACP mentor? What clear, specific, achievable and measurable goals have you established for your mentorship (e.g. "effectively communicate an introductory 30-second elevator speech")? Note: ACP attempts to match you with a mentor from a large corporation or other large organization. Be as specific as possible with ACP, and consider waiting and passing on proposed matches until you feel that ACP has matched you with a mentor well-suited to help you meet your specific and personal career goals.

Hi Carlos,

I'd be happy to look at your resume and provide some feedback. Feel free to either send me a private message on ACP or just email me directly at Stephanie.Arnold23@gmail.com. I might also be able to suggest some companies who might be looking for Supply Chain candidates, depending on where you're looking (location-wise).

Either way, thank you for your service and congratulations on your recent graduation!
