I am trying to find an administrative job in the Hampton roads area of Virginia. I did administrative work after I got out of the military and I would like to find a job doing that again since I love doing administrative work.

I did administrative assistant work, secretary. Yes, I am able to commute within the state of Virginia and depends on how far and what surrounding states I would be commuting to. I answered phones, filed, copied, faxed, organized files for the military when I was in. Once I got out, I did telemarketing, customer service, answered a multi-line phone, filed, typing construction proposals, handled petty cash. I did time sheets for a construction company. I ordered supplies for sites and told contractors where to go for a job. I made coffee.
Hi Karen,
Thank you for your service! Would you be open to sharing more details about your current military/professional experience within the administrative field? Our community might be able to chime in with more specific and relevant feedback, if you give us with additional background.
For example, are there any particular roles/titles that you are currently applying to within the administrative field? Also, are you able to commute within the state of Virginia, or surrounding states?
Best,
Karla
