Due to recent deployment to Afghanistan, I have less than 2 years experience working as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. I am actively seeking full time employment as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in the Tampa, FL area.

Greetinigs David, I was told that there is no current PM function on the ACP site. However, a mentor suggested I post my CV on http://www.pastelink.me. Here is my CV: http://pastelink.me/dl/fb4006#sthash.AQau9MVD.dpuf Thanks for any assistance you can provide! Have a great day!
And I believe you are correct, your odds of a MD hiring you will go up exponentially if you are available full time.
That's great news on the VA - at least it's a start.
Can you figure out how to use the PM function on this site to email CV? My plan is to get it into the hands of some sales contacts that work in PCP medicine in the area, often they are a good source of an MD that is looking.
Greetings David, thank you for response! I have tried many your suggestions to no avail! I recently accepted a locum tenem position, however it is 400 miles from my home! I want no "long breaks" of unemployment on my resume! Within the past week the Tampa VA has begun posting jobs... I have applied for many of them (6) .... Wish me luck! I am a member of the Tampa bay nurse practitioner association and found my locum job thru them. I just thought there was a permanent NP position in the Tampa area.... I am not going to give up looking, although discouraging at times! I am also retiring from the military this year, as I believe my military commitment is affecting being hired full time. Thanks again.... How do I send my CV your way?
Hi Darlene,
Would you be able to PM me your CV? I have some contacts that might be able to assist. Also, a couple of items you could consider:
1. Find a NP and ask if there is a local NP organization/association for the city, county. Many have them.
2. If you have any interest in the VA, i'm told the Tampa VA is expanding.
3. If you have any interest in long term care, many NP's work in this environment. Call the DON at a facility, she could probably put you in touch with the medical director, who may know of some local needs or be interested in taking on one.
