Searching for opportunities for a Bilingual Italian?

Veteran

James Ockwood Katy , TX

My wife is Bilingual and is legal to work in both Italy and the United States and I am seeking information to help her decide what she can do in America. She has a Classic Literature degree from Italy but I am not sure how that applies to the US job market? She was a language teacher but she is willing to learn other career fields if needed. Any advice or helpful websites would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi James, I saw your question rise recently and was not sure if after a year your wife was still looking. I'd recommend searching in Google or Altavista for "website translation services" which is one area that I'm familiar with that regularly needs bilingual translators

Translation or education are my first thoughts. There is an Italian Consulate in Houston that my know of the need for translation services within the US Italian business community and in education she could do anything from private lessons to high school or college.....

Not sure that helps much but wanted to see you get an answer... Good Luck
