Other than O2O, any recommendations for pursuing my PMP? Nothing against, O2O, but I am not eligible for it. Thank you.

Michael, I got my PMP before I got out. I prefer a live course with a live instructor. I just like learning that way. You can shop around as Mary said, there are several outfits that offer the service. they will range from $850,00 to as much as $4000.00 depending on location, and what kind of warranty they offer. I paid $900.00 for mine, It was 4 days long, 12 hour days with a guaranteed pass or money back. But there were stipulations. I passed taking the test on the 5th day after the course. But it is really worth it, but right now, everything is online. Lots of really good deals. If you are on Linked In. there is a Virtual Study Group for Hampton Roads Run by a couple of Retired Master Chiefs. Good Fellows. Hope this helps. Mark Peterson
Hi Michael,
Another resource for assisting vets in getting their PMP is Vets 2 PM: https://vets2pm.com/
Eric "Doc" Wright is a vet who started this company and has helped many vets successfully get certified.

I would like to add that PMI.org has many local chapters who also offer PMP training and mentoring programs.
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your service. I would highly recommend going to our "Community" tab and sorting by "Project Management" to find relevant advisors with a PMP who can better answer your questions.
Also, as Mary said, PMI is a great resource since they administer the exam and have practice exams.
Best,
Charles
Dear Michael,
If you visit the PMI (Project Management International) website, pmi.org, you'll find information about "accredited" organizations around the country who offer the PMP course/certification. In Chicago, there are a number of universities who offer it through their Executive Education programs; you might find the same in your area. Additionally, there is the online course PMI offers -- my recommendation though is the in-person learning environment. This is a highly valued skill by many, many employers. Good luck and stay healthy! --Mary
