For folks out there who are slightly technical and are looking to learn a new skill, here are a few resources that I have used in the past that have proved helpful:
Job Skills Research
For finding out what new technical skills to learn (i.e. What's HOT in IT / Software Development). These are useful for finding out if a technical skill is "on it's way out" or if it is trending up. Also, for folks looking to move to a new area of the country, the trending tools allow you to compare different areas to see where jobs are "moving to".

Places to Learn
Here are a few resources that I've used in the past. Some of the cost money and others are free. I'm not an affiliate or anything like that. There may be better resources elsewhere, but these are the ones I've used.
Lynda.com
http://lynda.com
There are loads of videos here. Very well organized and content is updated weekly (if not daily). Course areas include everything from Office Tools, Business and Management, Design (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc), Development (How to program, different programming languages) and more.
Cost? Yes. Monthly Subscription required.
Codecademy.com
http://www.codecademy.com/
Web Programming courses. HTML & CSS, Javascript, jQuery, Python, Ruby, PHP
Cost? No
Coursera.org
https://www.coursera.org/
College-level courses in all areas. Most courses are free, but the specializations cost money (about %50). You take courses along with other students.
Cost? Most courses are free.
One last resource on Skill Learning is a new one that I have run into:
