I worked on Navy SeaSparrow Missile System and the Evolved types during my service. Now I'm out, and it kind of looks like I have no handover from that entire ordeal, since people who want electric rates only want IT/ETs and I don't even know where to BEGIN to look to apply for a weapons development firm or testing facility.

I would say start with companies that manufacture the defense systems. Lockheed Martin comes to mind.
Raymond, I would recommend starting with the OEM prime for the SSM/ESSM being Raytheon Technologies (RTX), after which the other primes in the missile defense domain being Lockheed Martin, Boeing, General Dynamics and Northrup Grumman. Each have comprehensive Veteran Recruiting Outreach programs.
USG agencies such as MDA and all the services are all involved in both numerous and variable missile and related procurements should that route be desirable. There, I would begin with usajobs.gov.
Hope you find this information useful.
