I have heard that some larger companies sponsor polygraphs for qualified candidates. How common is this?
I currently have CI poly, but I see some positions require a FS Poly and others that are more generic (Poly Required). How do I know what "Poly Required" means besides applying and contacting a recruiter?
Thanks in advance,
Matt

I think Lindsey’s answer describes it well and accurately. Your current poly will help your candidacy and you shouldn’t be overly concerned. Good luck.
Matt, the 'poly required' typically indicates the position will require one to meet all of the requirements of the position. The company will sponsor the clearance and the poly in that case. As a candidate with an active clearance with poly, you accelerate the timeline to be able to be fully operational in your new role.
If the job posting states 'candidate must have an active clearance with poly', it's one that will only consider applicants like you who are ready to go on Day One.
I hope this helps. Good luck and thank you for your service.
