Hello Deanna, I'm a lady computer engineer with over 25 years of engineering and computer science experience. Well, I must say that maybe you could work in cybersecurity as you mention. Look into taking online courses in the field. Sometimes community colleges offer these courses. Additionally, people like ACM - Association for Computing Machinery or IEEE have memberships for Associates if you're not an electrical/electronics engineer or computer scientist where you could become a member of the organization and avail of their online courses. Hi Deanna,

Have you explored being a nurse on the phone for insurance providers? Many insurance companies have nurse helplines for members to call in with medical questions. Also, a friend of mine has worked for various companies working with patients on disability leave/ workmans comp (companies like UNUM) to prevent fraud. You don't need special computer skills, you'd just have to learn their software I'd think.

Some of my colleagues have found themselves in similar situations. One of my Peers started doing the Free Saleforce training and few years ago and is now the account manager for 3 large, and 2 small teams. He works remotely from home and manages a team. He only has to travel to client locations for 1-to-1 collaboration sporadically (2-3 times a year). Its free, adopted by most major businesses as an online interface, and pays off.

Deana, software security is a large and growing opportunity as Internet of Things and the Cloud experience expands. Not knowing your background, its tuff to say where to start.

I would recommend Udemy.com who provides online instruction as you have time. They provide video instruction, lessons to practice and access to the instructor. A lot of them are prep for certifications. The price for most are only around $12.99 for the whole course.
