Law student here fascinated with big law. But, odds are I won't break into it, so what are good mid size law firms? By good, I mean where I can work hard, get paid reasonably, with a steady paycheck, have a 401K and insurance, and that appreciates veterans.

Thanks for every one's input! I intend to stay in the New York City metropolitan area. The type of law that I want to practice is transactional (M&A, securities, contracts, or IP).
Hi Karlos, Vault.com has a good listing of best law firms for diversity, including military veterans. They have both AmLaw100 firms as well as smaller firms listed. A list of AmLaw 200 firms may be found on law.com, and visiting each firm’s website on their “careers” page will give you info on their diversity initiatives. Good luck!
