No, I don't have leads in the Atlanta area; but being a vocational counselor for years, I do have a more fundamental question for you to consider: WHAT ARE YOU TALENTED AT DOING? That is, I see your cart before the horse.
Take some time to consider WHAT you should do, based on your talents, before deciding WHERE you want to work.
Here is a link to a FREE assessment that should get you pointed in the right direction. If you need help with its interpretation, I will be glad to provide (also free). I will need the 4 letters and their percent numbers associated with each - if you want my help. Contact me directly at my e-mail address of hlstevens42@gmail.com. Otherwise, there is a pretty good machine analysis associated with the assessment.
Wayne- Check out Vetlanta as they have quarterly meetings and job fairs here in Atlanta, usually at Mercedes Benz Stadium. Their website is https://vetlanta.org/.
Also, have you considered UPS and Home Depot? They are two of the biggest employers in the region. UPS especially loves to hire veterans (https://military.jobs-ups.com/)
Other organizations for job boards include Hire Heroes USA (https://www.hireheroesusa.org/careers/) and the Georgia Department of Labor (http://www.employgeorgia.com/)
You should also look for jobs on LinkedIn and reach out to the people who have posted the job. Ask to connect with them and then send a resume once they connect.
Best of luck.
Thanks Chuck I will look research, then apply!
Sincerely,
Wayne
Wayne, Lockheed Martin has a large presence in Marietta, <1 hour from the airport. Without looking into job specifics, there are currently 80+ positions posted where a few may have something to offer.
Please let me know if I can be of any assistance.
